The weather has been very changeable in the first week of January - from mild to chilly. We have a lot of lavender in the house garden and usually a big pot of it on the cottage garden patio and I have been a bit tardy about pruning.  Normally one is advised not to prune right back into old wood but the lavender in the courtyard has got a bit wild and big, so much so that the cars driving to our house and cottage have the driving space considerably narrowed.  It does produce a lovely ...
