The beauty of the Cotswolds in the depths of winter

We have been fortunate in Ilmington in that we haven't had any REALLY bad weather yet and we are more than half way through January.  The shortest day was less than a month ago but evenings are already noticeably longer , especially on the bright sunny days we have been enjoying lately.  We have been enjoying daily walks 'over the top' - up Campden Hill, along Pig Lane and down Foxcote Hill via a little bit of the Foxcote Estate.  Some days the puddles amd mud have been a bit challenging on Pig Lane, other days it is frosty so the mud is hard and easy to walk on.  Every time we go though, we marvel at the views that we have not got tired of looking at in our 35 years of living here.
