Robins galore

I have been tardy in updating because I have been ill for the last three weeks but the "kettle robins" took their first flying lessons weeks ago and left the nest two or three days later.  I did not manage to get a photograph of them.  In fact, as we have a large garden (about 2 acres) I think we have up to three nesting pairs so there are a lot of young robins about. We have nesting blue tits as well in a nesting box fixed to a very old pear tree.  That seems to be a constant hive of activity.  As soon as one nestful is raised, the parents go on to raising the next brood.  I am surprised that we haven't seen our kettle robins back for a second go.  Perhaps they are taking a much needed break.
